Although I have not seen any evidence that makes me think that determinism does not hold completely or that a true random number generator exists, I do not think that determinism and having no free will are equivalent. It seems that having no free will can hold without determinism being a necessary factor; determinism could be a strict, proper subset of having no free will. More specifically, if there exists a true random number generator in your head, then how are you controlling it? And, if you are not controlling it completely, then how do you have free will?
